FIBA: Philippines is Japan’s First Defeat

Philippines did it again! Handing Japan's first defeat by trampling them in the third quarter. Philippines ran a 26-12 in the third quarter including a 10-0 run that led to their 83-76 victory. Marcus Douthit again dominated the court with 19 of his 25 points and 12 of his 18 rebounds, all in the second half. FIBA: Philippines beat Jordan 72-64

Philippines struggled on the first half as Jordan dominated the game. Led by Sam Daghlas by scoring 9 points in the first quarter, Jordan was on its way to sure victory. But center Marcus Douthit has risen up to the challenge and along with Marcio Lassiter, led the Philippines to a 72-64 victory. Azkals join 2012 AFC Challenge Cup tournament

After the Nationals lost 1-2 last Thursday to Kuwait in the home leg of their Asian World Cup qualifying match, the Philippine Azkals will be flying to Nepal in April for the 2012 Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Challenge Cup tournament. Azkals lose again to Bahrain Team

The Philippine Azkals had lost again to Bahrain for their second round friendly match with a score of 3-1. Chieffy Caligdong the only Filipino who had made a goal against Bahrain in their first round friendly match, is made another goal in the first quarter of the second round, but not enough to beat the Under-23 Olympic team of Bahrain.
