FIBA: Philippines is Japan’s First Defeat

Philippines did it again! Handing Japan's first defeat by trampling them in the third quarter. Philippines ran a 26-12 in the third quarter including a 10-0 run that led to their 83-76 victory. Marcus Douthit again dominated the court with 19 of his 25 points and 12 of his 18 rebounds, all in the second half. Philippine coach Rajko Toroman said that, “The key was we stopped Takuya Kawamura.” It was an unlucky time for Japan as they went to the foul-line 28 times, but only 16 were successful.... → Continue reading
