Born Randall Mario Poffo, Randy “Macho Man” Savage died Friday morning in Florida due to a car accident. He was 58 at the time.
The wrestler’s brother, Lanny Poffo, stated that Savage suffered a heart attack while behind the wheel, causing him to crash onto a tree. His wife Lynn, suffered only minor injuries.
Macho Man, best known for his raspy voice and outrageously colorful attire paired with sunglasses, bandana, headband, or cowboy hat. He gained notoriety around 1985, during his stint in the World Wrestling Federation. He was so famous he even had a cartoon, alongside Hulk Hogan and other WWF Superstars. In 1994, he transfered to World Championship Wrestling and in 2004 joined in Total Nonstop Action Wrestling.
